# revver cloud POS Solution Detailed technical description of the POS functionality. ## revver POS – A modern cloud-native POS platform for your gas stations The revver POS (point of sale) is a proven cloud-native point of sale solution with payment and fuel integration for gas stations. Indoor sales are managed through our **Android app** for the cashier tablet and the customer screen. Outdoor sales are managed through our outdoor payment terminal platform which is fully integrated with the indoor point of sale but can also be operated standalone. Fuel Sales & Management This section covers wetstock in general and on a high level some of the key features covered by revver POS. ## Fuel Selection on POS Fuel pumps, statuses, ongoing and completed fillings are visible on the POS, this helps the cashier to understand the current forecourt status. An indication to the cashier on the pump is provided for each of the pump statuses. The completed status indication allows the cashier to select the filling on the pump and add the filling to the basket. The filling can also be removed from the basket & added back to the pump if the cashier chooses to do so. ### Support for multiple fuel grades revver POS supports sale of multiple fuel grades, that would be configured in the forecourt device controller. This includes support of traditional fuel products, gas products, new age products like Hydrogen too. Fuel products with unit as litre as well as Kg are supported in the POS. ### Drive Off Management revver POS supports handling of drive off and debt recognition scenarios. A specific payment method with appropriate handling is present in the system which helps handle the drive off scenarios. ## Forecourt Management ### Manage Fuel Prices Fuel prices can be managed also via the POS, where the cashier can add an immediate price change for the fuel grade of his choice. This function is generally used if there was a price change failure from the server & the cashier must change the price immediately. ### Change Operation Mode Forecourt operation mode can be changed based on the business day/ time from the POS. This allows the cashier to switch modes between pre auth mode, post pay mode, mixed mode. These can also be called as day, night mode OR OPT only mode. Based on the station's operation times, the cashier can switch the station to any mode of his choice. ### Emergency Stop Emergency stop/ Stop all pumps function is available on the POS which allows the station operation to switch off all pumps at once in case of an exception/ security risk scenario he might face during the business operations. ### Stop/ Start Pumps Apart from emergency stop, the cahier can also switch ON/ OFF individual pumps in case of maintenance/ safety issue if a scenario occurs during the business operations. ### Tank Management Within the forecourt management screens on the POS, the tank information is also visible. This shows the volume and statistics from the tanks. POS also allows the station operator to switch ON/ OFF tanks via the POS. # 2.2 Drystock Sales This section covers the list of dry stock sale features supported by revver POS. Drystock sales effectively means shop products i.e. products other than fuel. ## Product Entry Multiple methods of product entry on to POS is supported by revver POS This includes: * Scan a Barcode \[Various code formats supported] * Scan a QR code * Manual entry of product code: Supports number/ code entry to select a product. Ideally used for non scan articles. * Search an product by name OR barcode * Fast key selection of products: Enables listing products in fast key with images which helps the cashier select and sell products easily. ### Receipts revver POS supports printing of unique QR codes on to receipts which enables the cashier to quick look up a transactyion by scanning the QR code in the receipt. Also on demand printing feature is available on the POS, which enables the cashier to print a receipt incl. duplicate copies. ### Transaction Repository POS has the repository section for the cashier to view list of transactions and filter them by date, payment type, transaction type etc. These help the cashier to quickly navigate/ filter and find specific transactions. POS allows the cashier to park a transaction in case he has to proceed with a fresh transaction. The parked transaction can also be unparked when ready to be paid for. # 2.3 Transaction Checkout This section covers the different transaction checkout possibilities in revver POS revver POS supports multiple payment methods for completion of a sale. This includes traditional cash payments to the most modern touch/ QR code based payments. ### Cash & Foreign Currency POS display cash & foreign currency with bank note images which helps the user select the right denomination visually. The change is also auto calculated & rounding is applied when needed. ### Cards #### Bank Cards The card entry includes tap, chip entry, swipe. These include VISA, Mastercard, Amex, Postfinance etc. #### Fuel Cards Fuel cards can be accepted by scan, magstripe entry based on terminal support. Currently this includes SOCAR card, Tamoil card, DKV, UTA etc. #### Gift Card POS supports purchase of articles with gift cards as method of payment. ### Others #### Vouchers POS supports acceptance of cashless vouchers \[paper & digital]. This includes acceptance of cumulus UCB's, station provided vouchers, over payment vouchers etc. #### Configurable Manual Payment Methods POS supports accepting payments with manual payment means which are configurable. This could include merchant specific paper vouchers. ### Loyalty Scanning of loyalty cards, awardingof points is supported by the Revver POS. # 2.4 Special Transaction Handling revver POS supports different products which require special handling than normal products. Some of such transaction handling has been documented in this section. #### Age restricted products handling \ POS allows the sale of age restricted products with appropriate verification prompt which calculates the date of birth based on the age defined. #### Special Barcodes - Weight & Price \ POS supports scanning of special barcodes for KG products. These barcodes could contain the price or weight of the product. Based on what the barcode has, the other parameter is auto calculated by the POS #### Manual Priced Products \ POS supports sales of products which has no price and the price must be manually entered by the cashier. #### Price Overrides \ POS supports sale of products where there could be multiple active prices. These are specifically useful for sale of tobacco items. #### Lottery Sales & Wins \ POS supports sale of lottery as well as payout when there is a lottery win. There are special barcode ranges in the which the sale and win amount will be embedded. #### Sale/ Activation/ Top up of Gift Cards \ POS supports gift card sale, top up, activation & usage as a payment mean via multiple interfaces/ integrations #### Sale/ Activation/ Top up of Value Cards \ POS supports value card sale, top up, activation & usage as a payment mean via multiple interfaces/ integrations. These could be apple iTunes card, netflix card etc. # 2.5 Discounts & Promotions This sections aims to describe various discounts and promotions supported by revver POS. ### Discounts Discounts are defined as price discounts provided by the cashier manually on the POS. This could be provided to normal customers or employees. #### Manual Item Discount These are discounts which are provided at a line item level in the basket. Examples could be: * 5 cents per liter off for Diesel * 10% off for all coffee drinks #### Manual Transaction/ Employee Discount These are discounts which are calculated for the whole basket. Examples could be: * 8% off for all employees for beverages. ### Promotions Promotions are auto applied to the transaction if certain criteria are met. A few examples can include: * Buy One get One Free on Coke * Buy 3 packets of Break for 5 CHF * Buy 1 Sandwich & 1 Coke & 1 packet of chips for a fixed price of 8 CHF # 2.6. This would immediately create active shifts which can then be used to operate the POS. #### Credentials Cashier credentials have to be reset the first time being used on the POS. Credentials include a user ID and PIN which can be restet by the cashier's manager if needed. #### Cash Declarations Cashier must declare the cash as well as any tracked products while signing on and off the POS shift. This will be used to calculate theorotical balance & used in cash balancing. Cashier will also have to assign respective cash drawers being used. #### Shift End Report revver POS provides a detailed shift end report on completion of a shift which can be used for reconciliation and balancing. #### Lock & Pause Shift revver POS provides feature to lock as well as pause a shift if the cashier is on a break or away. This is a very useful function ffor stations with multiple cashiers. # 2.8 Cash Movement Transactions revver POS supports cash movement or financial transactions to be done. This helps in moving cash in and out of the drawer with appropriate reasoning. revver POS supports multiple reason codes for moving cash IN or OUT from the cash drawer. ### Paid In POS supports paying in amount with specific reason codes. These will be reported in shift receipt ### Paid Out POS supports paying out amount with specific reason codes. These will be reported in shift receipt ### Spot Check/ Cash balance Check POS support the station manager to do a spot check on running shifts of other cashiers or the OPT. These will be reported in shift receipt ### Add Change POS allows the cashier to add change entry to the cash drawer. These will be reported in shift receipt ### Tracked Products POS allows the cashier to add tracked products entry during the shift start/end/ in between the shift. These will be reported in shift receipt ### CINEO Drop POS allows the cashier to add cineo drop entry to the cash drawer. When a customer fuels less that the cash payment, the revver OPT supports printing of a dynamic overpayment voucher that can be redeemed in the station. #### Vouchers These vouchers generated by the OPT can later be used for filling by the customers. ### Cards #### Bank Cards The card entry includes tap, chip entry, swipe. Site administration Under Site administration, the POS can be configured from a technical perspective. For example, it’s possible to add new point of sales and cash drawers, to change receipt variables and technical information like IP addresses. Thus, except for the fast key configuration, this section is only available for technical users. ### Manage Fast keys BOS support the ability to add articles to fast key groups which will be displayed in POS & SCO. It includes the below: 1. Fuel Article wise total quantity, amount, discounts 2. Shop article category wise total quantity, amount, discounts 3. Tax wise totals 4. Terminal wise totals Sales report can be generated for day, month, year or any custom dates ### Overpayment voucher management List of overpayment vouchers that is present in the system can be viewed by status. Issued overpayment vouchers can also be cancelled from the BOS." # 5.3. Merchandise management This section describes functions in the Revver BOS for merchandise management. ### Create and Modify Products Product management page in BOS allows creating new products, assigning to category, adding EAN codes & PLU's, pricing of an product. ### Set up Product Groups Product group management in BOS allows creating new groups which can include existing category, products, exclusion of products. This can be used when setting up discounts. ### Set up and Modify Discounts Discount & promotion management in BOS allows creating new deals which can include manual discounts & auto promos. It can also include start/ end date, special date and times of week for ex. happy hour etc. ### Discount Wizard This is an easy to use wizard which helps our partners to create discounts easily by answering a few questions. ### Category Manager This feature in BOS allows viewing all active categoriues in the merchant along with the tax rates, IFSF retsriction codes etc." # 5.4 System Administration This sections speaks about various system admin functions available in revver BOS ### User Management Ability to create users with location access, application of different roles, reset user pin for POS and BOS etc. A manager for the user can also be assigned. Different roles supported include cashier, manager, support, admin etc. ### Merchant/ Dealer Configuration BOS provides the feature to edit merfchant configuration like name, VAT code, receipt configuration - for example footer message, notification email, phone number etc. ### Reason Code Management / Configuration BOS provides the feature set up new reason codes for the sttaion. These can then be used in POS for financial transactions ### Manual Payment Mean Management/ Configuration BOS provides the feature set up new manual payment codes for the sttaion.
